According to the results of the qualifying tournament of the FIFA World Cup to be held in 2026 in Canada, Mexico and the United States of America, Turkmenistan got into Group "E". This is reported on the website of "Business Turkmenistan".
In Group E, the Turkmen national soccer team will compete against soccer teams from Iran, Uzbekistan, Hong Kong or Bhutan.
First round games for teams from 20 countries will take place in October 2023. The 10 winners will advance to the second round, with games starting in mid-November of this year.
The draw for the next three rounds will take place in 2024. The top two teams from each of the nine groups will advance to the third round of qualifying, which is scheduled for the end of 2024.
Qualification will take place in November 2025 and March 2026.
