A unique artifact appeared in the History and Local Lore Museum of Turkmenistan

The collection of ancient artifacts of the Historical and Local History Museum of Mary province of Turkmenistan was enriched with a unique gold coin of Arab minting, which, according to experts, was made in the 6th-7th centuries AD. The coin weighing 4.25 grams was handed over by Ogultach Orazova, a native of Bayramali town. This is reported by the daily Neutral Turkmenistan.

It is known that after the inclusion of the territory of modern Turkmenistan into the Arab Caliphate in the 7th century AD, the main means of payment were coins of the ruling dynasties: gold dinars, silver dirhams, copper fels, as well as Abbasid coins with decorative script "Kufi".

The artifact in the form of an ancient coin with Arabic script is of great cultural and historical significance, as it is an irrefutable witness of the past, a material confirmation of the processes that took place many centuries ago.
