The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held a meeting with UN Tourism Secretary General

On March 27, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UN-Tourism) Zurab Pololikashvili, who headed a delegation that arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the International Conference "Main directions and potential of tourism development in Turkmenistan". This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the sides touched upon issues related to further development of the tourism industry of Turkmenistan in cooperation with UN-Tourism. The issues of implementation of joint investment projects in the field of tourism, training of guides with the assistance of the UN-Tourism Academy, assistance within the framework of the UN-Tourism Silk Road Program were discussed.

The issues of participation of UN-Tourism in the work of the Strategic Advisory Council "Turkmenistan-UN" and in the development and implementation of the Program of Cooperation of Turkmenistan in the field of tourism for 2024-2025 were also considered.
