Turkmenistan received medicines from UNDP

The UN Development Program handed over a new batch of medicines for the treatment of non-communicable diseases to the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.

The drugs were delivered within the framework of the project on combating non-communicable diseases, which is fully funded by the Government of Turkmenistan and has been implemented jointly with UNDP since 2021.

Medicines for treatment of cardiovascular, neurological and respiratory diseases will be distributed among all medical institutions of Turkmenistan. The supply includes drugs for inhalation in vials, anticonvulsant tablets, anticoagulants. The total cost of the new batch of medical drugs amounted to over 375 thousand US dollars.
