Turkmenistan raises state procurement prices for cotton and wheat for the 2024 harvest

During an extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on raising state purchase prices for the 2024 harvest of cotton and wheat. This is reported by the online edition of Vestiabad.ru.

Compared to the purchase prices set back in 2019, the price per ton of wheat has increased 2.5 times and is AZN 2,000. The price of medium-fiber cotton has increased more than 3 times and now ranges from AZN 4,550 to AZN 5,000. The price of thin-fiber cotton increased from 2000 manat to 6700 manat.

The increase in state purchase prices will contribute to the increase in cotton and wheat production and successful implementation of the "Program of the President of Turkmenistan for socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028".
