Turkmenfilm Association named after Oguzkhan continues shooting documentaries about Makhtumkuli Fraghi. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The new work will include footage shot in the Republic of Kazakhstan, where the film crew, which also included representatives of the fields of science, creativity and television, was on a business trip.
The script for the new film was written by Rakhymberdi Annagulyev, directed by Maksat Klychev and starring Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Batyr Chariev. The heads of accredited diplomatic missions in Astana, representatives of scientific and creative intelligentsia, Turkmen and Kazakh students studying at universities in Astana, Turkmen masters of arts and media representatives took part in making the movie.
Another film about Makhtumkuli, directed by Palvan Geldiyev, is shooting in Kyrgyzstan from February 25 to March 3.
