A cyber sports tournament to select the national team started in Turkmenistan

Selection tournaments to form a national cyber sports team began in Turkmenistan this week. The tournaments, organized by the Electronic Sports Federation of Turkmenistan, will be held from 15 to 20 August. Eight teams from all over the country will take part in them, competing in the popular games Dota 2, Street Fighter and eFootball. This is reported by the publication Orient.

The winners of the national competition will advance to the regional online tournament to be held in October and will compete against teams from other countries in Central Asia and the Middle East. The best teams from the regional competitions will advance to the finals of the Global Cybersports Games, which will be held in December in Saudi Arabia.

The Global Cybersport Games are designed to bring together elite gamers from around the world to compete in various game genres. This is an opportunity for Turkmenistan to field its national cyber sports team and give its best players a chance to shine on the world stage.
