Young eco-activists of Ashgabat participated in a meeting organized by UNDP. The aim of the event was to raise awareness among young people about the environmental initiatives of the UN Development Programme.
Activists received information about ongoing projects to improve the environment, combat global climate change, and switch to cleaner sources of electricity generation.
UNDP leader in Turkmenistan, N. Sahakyan, emphasized that she recognized the important role of young eco-activists in the process of building a happy, environmentally safe future. She also noted UNDP's readiness to help young environmentalists reflect on their own experience and develop new effective solutions.
