The national railway company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) announced the launch of a container train on the route connecting China and Turkmenistan through Kazakhstan.
The train's starting point was Jinan Nan Station in China. It continued through border points in Kazakhstan (Khorgos, Altynkol, and Bolashak). The final point was the Turkmen station of Gypjak.
The train consists of forty-four 40-foot containers of general cargo. The set route from China to Turkmenistan takes eight days.
KTZ emphasized the advantages of this service for their customers. First of all, it is convenient time of movement of Chinese cargoes to Turkmen customers. Undoubtedly, the new transport channel will expand the trade and economic potential between the countries and will contribute to the growth of cargo flows in the future.
