The State Academic Maly Theater of Russia is expected to start touring in Turkmenistan within the framework of the "Big Tour" project. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
As part of the tour, Russian theater artists will show two performances - "Marriage" by Nikolai Gogol and "The Cherry Orchard" by Anton Chekhov. The director of "Marriage" is Yuri Solomin. The production has been in the repertoire of the Maly Tetra of Russia for over a hundred years. The play "The Cherry Orchard" was the first production in the history of the Russian Maly Theater. The director is Igor Ilyinsky.
The tour is organized by Roskontsert in accordance with the All-Russian tour and concert plan of the Ministry of Culture of Russia. In addition to Turkmenistan, the creative team will visit Abkhazia, Belarus and Uzbekistan.
