A delegation from Afghanistan headed by Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaki arrived in Turkmenistan on February 25 on a working visit. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.
The visit to Turkmenistan to hold bilateral talks on cooperation took place at the invitation of Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov. The Afghan delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, the Afghan Railways Authority and Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat energy company.
Negotiations are scheduled on expanding cooperation in political and diplomatic, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres, as well as on the implementation of joint projects in the areas of infrastructure and energy development.
