Today an online meeting was held between the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (R. Meredov) and the Ministry of Health and the Medical Industry (N. Amannepesov) and the head of WHO ERB Hans Kluge. COVID-19 activities were a key topic of discussion.
After talks with the WHO Director General, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov instructed the heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry to organize effective cooperation with the WHO to ensure the protection of public health and prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
The meeting addressed the current situation with regard to observance of WHO recommendations and the epidemiological situation in our country. The parties expressed their mutual readiness for cooperation and exchange of experience among scientists and specialists on this issue. Turkmen diplomats emphasized the intention to implement WHO recommendations and continue active interaction with international experts.
