On June 27, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R. Meredov held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan Vafo Niyatbekzoda. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for further cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tajikistan in various areas. The sides stressed the special significance of contacts at the highest level and within the framework of authoritative international organizations.
In addition, the interlocutors noted the need to further strengthen and expand inter-parliamentary ties. The sides noted the dynamic development of relations in the trade and economic sphere, as well as emphasized the great prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian field.
