In Turkmenistan, traffic police take the temperature of the drivers and passengers of each car at the road police checkpoints at the entrance to populated areas. Medical workers measure a person's body temperature with a remote (infrared) thermometer. Doctors and SES officers are on duty at the checkpoints 24 hours a day.
Residents of the country are sympathetic to these preventive measures necessary against the background of the coronavirus pandemic. It should be noted that in Turkmenistan, thanks to timely measures taken, not a single case of COVID-19 virus has been registered.
