Kovind's official visit to Turkmenistan begins

Today, April 1, Ram Nath Kovind landed at the airport in Ashgabat. The Indian President will stay in the country for three days. He has arrived for diplomatic talks, where he plans to talk about strengthening the bilateral partnership between India and Central Asia.

The official delegation was welcomed by the country's Foreign Minister R. Meredov and Education Minister G. Ataeva. In accordance with the good national custom, the foreign guest was greeted by children with bread and salt.

Then an official meeting was held between Kovind and Serdar Berdymukhamedov. Recall that this was the first time an Indian president has ever paid a state visit to Turkmenistan.

On April 3, the Indian delegation will leave for the Netherlands.
