NRCP of Turkmenistan and UNICEF organized a workshop for youth on emergency preparedness

A training seminar for young people on emergency preparedness and prompt response to emergencies was held at the Turkmen children's recreation center "Yashlyk" in Gokder. This is reported on the website of Türkmenistan habarlar portaly.

The workshop was organized by the National Red Crescent Society of Turkmenistan (NRCST) together with UNICEF under the USAID-funded program "Strengthening Local and National Capacity for Emergency Preparedness and Response in Central Asian Countries at High Risk of Earthquakes and Prone to Natural Disasters".

Practical and simulation-immersive sessions were organized for the participants of the workshop.
The workshop trained a special team of NOCPT trainers who will be able to further train the region's youth in emergency preparedness and rapid response to emergencies.
