Yesterday, the SPPT Business Center hosted the annual meeting of the NOTSC (National Barcode Organization of Turkmenistan). This year it was dedicated to the 5th anniversary of its membership in GS1, an international organization that develops and implements unified standards. NOTSC joined GS1 in May 2015, having received the appropriate country code - "483".
The meeting participants were congratulated online by the Head of "GS1" M. Loper. He noted the importance of the work of "GS1 Turkmenistan" in the system of global activities related to the transition to common international standards and bringing Turkmen producers to the international market.
Delegates considered reports on the results of work presented by the head of the NOTSC, "GS1 Turkmenistan" A. Myalikgulyeva and the control and auditing committee, and agreed on a number of issues, including organizational.
At the moment, more than 1,500 public and private sector enterprises and entrepreneurs are members of "GS1 Turkmenistan". They benefit from the introduction of international standards and modern identification, contributing to the implementation of integration processes. To date, more than 100 Turkmen producers successfully export goods to world markets.
