On August 3, Ogulgerek Berdimuhamedov, the wife of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and mother of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, presented to the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan the amulets-alajas made by Ogulabat eje and the tool with which they were made. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The art of embroidery is a national cultural value, and Ogulabat eje has also contributed to the improvement of the art of needlework. The tool used by Ogulabat eje to create alaj is made from the branches of an adult elm tree.
Today, under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan is working to study, preserve and popularize folk handicrafts and multiply the centuries-old traditions of the Turkmen people.
