The State Museum of Fine Arts has opened an exhibition of works by Turkmen painters and sculptors dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Turkmen poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fraghi. This is reported by the online edition of "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
Rakhman Umarov's work "Makhtumkuli" became the central painting in the exhibition. A number of paintings depicting the Turkmen poet belong to the brush of People's Artist of Turkmenistan Aikhan Hajiyev. The exhibition presents portraits, easel paintings depicting the poet, as well as portraits of other prominent poets - Seidi and Mollanepes.
The triptych "The Great Silk Road" by Redzhepberda Muhammedov, which depicts the era in which the Turkmen poet and philosopher lived, also took a special place in the exposition.
