Today, January 16, Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia Kakha Imnadze. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister congratulated Kakha Imnadze on his appointment as the head of RRCCA.
The Turkmen side expressed interest in enhancing the role of the Ashgabat UN Regional Center and promoting initiatives such as "Dialogue of Women of Central Asia". M. Byashimova also noted Turkmenistan's interest in developing joint projects in education, security and training of civil servants.
Commitment was expressed to implement the initiatives put forward during the 78th session of the UNGA and the schedule of joint activities for the forthcoming period was reviewed.
