The first child in Turkmenistan was born in Ashgabat 40 minutes after the New Year. This was reported by the news program "Vatan" of Turkmen television.

The boy was born at the Moscow perinatal center of the Scientific-Clinical Center for Maternal and Child Health at 00:40. The boy's weight is 3,840 kg, height - 53 cm, the health condition of the mother and the newborn is satisfactory, the report noted.
The boy was named Bakhtiyar.

The president and chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty chamber of the Turkmen parliament congratulated the family on the addition.
