Turkmenistan participated in the 76th session of the UNHCR Executive Committee

A delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Chairman of the State Migration Service A. Sazakov took part in the 76th session of the Executive Committee of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. The event was held in early October 2025 at the UN headquarters in Geneva. The session summarized the results of work for the previous year and approved the program of activities for the next period.

Speaking at the plenary session, A. Sazakov informed about the practical results of Turkmenistan's fulfillment of international obligations. It was especially noted that in 2024 the country successfully completed the implementation of the UN global campaign "#IBelong" on the elimination of statelessness.

Turkmenistan continues to actively cooperate with UNHCR in developing new programs aimed at protecting the rights of migrants and refugees.
