Celebration of the 300th anniversary of Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi inscribed on UNESCO list

Following the plenary meeting of the 42nd session of the UNESCO General Conference on November 21, a resolution was adopted on Turkmenistan's proposal to include the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fraghi in the UNESCO List of Commemorative Dates. This is reported on the official website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

In accordance with the adopted resolution, the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fraghi will be celebrated jointly with UNESCO in 2024-2025. This significant event is a vivid confirmation of the recognition of the importance of the work of the great Turkmen poet in the context of cultural and humanitarian international cooperation and his influence on the formation of the world cultural heritage.
