Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan meets with UNICEF Head of Mission

On Tuesday, July 23, the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan D. Gulmanova and the newly appointed Head of the UN Children's Fund Office Ms. Jalpa Ratna met. The Speaker of the Mejlis familiarized the new head of the UNICEF office with the foreign and domestic policy priorities of the country and the activities of the Mejlis on legislative support of the reforms being carried out in Turkmenistan.

The parties commended UNICEF cooperation with Turkmenistan and exchanged views on the prospects for further partnership.
