TRT representative office in Turkmenistan invites to the gala program of short films

The gala program of short films "Kyoneurgench" and "In the footsteps of the great Seljuks, the capital of Merv", prepared by the TRT Representative Office in Turkmenistan, will start this Sunday, October 15, at 15.00 in the Cinema and Concert Hall "Ashgabat" of the Turkmen capital. All interested residents and guests of the capital of Turkmenistan can take part in watching the short films. This is reported in the press release of the Turkish state television and radio company TRT in Ashgabat.

The short films will tell about the ancient city of Merv, as well as about one of the most ancient cities of Turkmenistan "Kyoneurgench", which from the 11th to 13th centuries was the capital of a large medieval empire - the State of Khorezmshahs. The city of Merv was also for several centuries a significant cultural center of the East, which reached its heyday in the 11th century as the main city of the Great Seljuk Empire. The inscription of Ancient Merv on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1999 is an undeniable testimony that the city is a valuable cultural heritage of humanity.

The Turkish state television and radio company TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Corporation) was founded in 1964. The company's representative office in Ashgabat appeared in 1999.
