The President of Turkmenistan congratulated the elderly people of Turkmenistan on their holiday

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has congratulated the Turkmen people on the international holiday - Day of the Elderly. This is reported by the state news agency "Turkmenistan Today".

In his address, the head of Turkmenistan noted that the domestic and foreign policy of the state is aimed at ensuring peace and well-being of the present and future generations of Turkmenistanis. The Government of the country regularly improves the legal, organizational and economic foundations of social protection of the older generation.

The Council of Elders was established under Halk Maslakhaty. Based on the advice and proposals of the elders, important decisions for the country were developed and adopted at the last meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty.
For their special services to the state, representatives of the older generation were awarded the title "Hormatly il ýaşulusy" and honored mothers were awarded the "Zenan kalby" orders.
