The President of Turkmenistan invited the ECO countries to develop an Agreement on electronic commerce

During the 16th meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov proposed the countries of the Organization to develop the ECO Framework Agreement on Digital Technologies and Electronic Commerce. This was reported by the state news agency Turkmenistan Today.

The head of Turkmenistan noted that the country had previously proposed an initiative to create economic corridors in the ECO region, which can be used as the main routes for the promotion of goods, services and funds. For the functioning of economic corridors it is necessary to establish partnership between leading industrial complexes, investment companies and banks of the ECO countries.

In this regard, the President of Turkmenistan proposed to develop an ECO Framework Agreement on Digital Technologies and Electronic Commerce.
