UNDP conducted training on SDG financing in Turkmenistan

The United Nations Development Program in Turkmenistan jointly with the Ministry of Finance and Economy completed a two-day training on financing the Sustainable Development Goals in Ashgabat. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the UNDP press service.

The event aimed to strengthen the country's capacity to mobilize resources to achieve the SDGs and integrate climate commitments into national development plans.

Training sessions were conducted by Suren Poghosyan, UNDP Regional Advisor on Sustainable Development Goals Financing. The participants studied mechanisms of attracting financing for the implementation of priority areas of sustainable development.

The initiative is implemented within the framework of the joint project "Platform for Realization of Sustainable Development Goals". The project demonstrates Turkmenistan's desire to utilize international experience in implementing national development priorities.

The training was part of an effort to improve the skills of national professionals in sustainable development finance and climate initiatives.
