Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh, speaking today in the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, announced plans to build a Russian Drama Theater in the capital of Turkmenistan. He also informed the public about the prospects of opening a Russian-Turkmen university in the country.
The Russian Drama Theater is currently at the design stage and the start of construction.
In his speech at the Federation Council in Moscow, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov emphasized that science, art and education are the most important components of the partnership strategy between Russia and Turkmenistan.
Chairman of Khalk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesha reminded that the Russian-Turkmen school named after Pushkin is now operating in the country, and dozens of schools teach in Russian. He noted that the Russian language, culture, art and spiritual values are cherished in Turkmenistan.
