On November 15, 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting with the delegation of TURKSOY headed by Secretary General Sultan Raev. The Turkmen side was represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov. This is reported on the official website of Turkmenistan's Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues of current cooperation between Turkmenistan and the International Organization of Turkic Culture and identified promising areas for further cooperation.
The Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan noted that in 2024 a lot of work was done to organize more than forty events in accordance with the significant dates of TURKSOY. Among the most important events are the celebrations on the occasion of declaring the Turkmen city of Anau the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World.
