Turkmen student Ilya Luriev won at the Youth Congress of Representatives of Islamic Countries held in Kazan.
Turkmenistan was represented by two participants from the University of Oil and Gas. A sophomore at the university presented a paper on "Optimization of Well Design under Watercut Conditions" for the committee's consideration. It is universally recognized as having not only theoretical but also practical importance for the development of the oil and gas industry. As a result, Ilya's work was named the best and it was awarded a special certificate.
This year about 1450 applications for participation were registered, out of which only about a hundred works of young scientists were selected. For them the Kazan forum became a good school of skills, and for the winners it became a launching pad for in-depth study of oil and gas topics.
