Tajikistan and Turkmenistan discuss increasing trade turnover

The 11th meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was held today in Ashgabat. This was reported by the news program "Vatan" of Turkmen TV.

Representatives of the official structures of Turkmenistan and Tajikistan discussed issues of increasing trade turnover between the two countries.

The delegations of the countries at the meeting were headed by the co-chairmen of the IGC - Turkmenistan's Minister of Finance and Economy Muhammetgeldi Serdarov and Tajikistan's Minister of Energy and Water Resources Juma Daler.

One of the topics of the talks was activation of mutual trade turnover and increase of the range of supplied products. The ministers agreed to intensify joint actions to implement the Road Map to increase trade turnover in 2022-2023.

The sides also paid attention to the implementation of the Protocol of the tenth meeting of the joint Turkmen-Tajik IGC, discussed in detail the existing issues between public and private entities of the two countries.
