The Ambassador of Turkmenistan participated in a meeting to discuss the EU Global Gateway initiative

Turkmenistan's Ambassador to Brussels Sapar Palvanov took part in a meeting to discuss the European Union's Global Gateway initiative and opportunities of the trans-Caspian transport corridor. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.

The meeting was attended by the heads of the European Commission, heads of diplomatic missions of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Romania, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and heads of various research organizations in the field of transport and logistics.

The session discussed the opportunities of the Global Gateway initiative and the importance of the Middle Corridor in the context of developing transport connectivity between Europe and Asia. It was noted that new investments in hydrogen, solar and wind energy are contributing to increased trade between the EU, Turkey, Caucasus and Central Asia.

The Turkmen side expressed its commitment to the development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor, which will contribute to strengthening cooperation between Asian and European countries.
