A working meeting chaired by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was held with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atakhallyev, who is in charge of agro-industrial complex, and khakims of velayats. This was reported by the TurkmenPortal online publication.
Т. Atakhallyev noted that in order to obtain a rich harvest of cotton, inter-row cultivation, thinning and weeding of this crop is currently carried out with the use of modern agricultural machinery and units.
Maintenance of wheat fields is being finalized, preparations for the grain harvesting campaign are underway - receiving points, elevators and vehicles have already been prepared. The work on collection, transportation, acceptance and storage of seed grain in the receiving points is carried out. In addition, the work on silkworm care, harvesting and delivery of cocoons to the state continues.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave instructions on proper preparation for the upcoming harvest and taking measures to ensure food abundance.
