On September 12, Sakhysalykh Bayramov, Deputy Chairman for Creative Affairs of the Oguzkhan Turkmenfilm Association, was a speaker at the X St. Petersburg Forum of United Cultures within the panel discussion on "Cinematography of the CIS countries. Common past, sovereign present, multipolar future". This is reported by the online edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age."
The forum participants discussed the prospects of cooperation in the field of cinematography and the initiative to establish a Fund to finance joint film projects of the CIS countries. It was noted that Turkmen cinematographers are actively working on creating films in various genres and are often honored with prestigious international awards and prizes.
Currently, work is underway on shooting a series of films dedicated to the works and life of Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fraghi, including a joint Turkmen-Uzbek film.
