The 1/8 finals of the Champions League continues. Tonight, February 19, there were two more matches of the main European club tournament.
Italy's Atalanta, who made it to the Champions League playoffs for the first time in their history, defeated Spain's Valencia 4 : 1.
Already on 16 minutes, Hans Hateboer closed the pass from the flank by Alejandro Gomez, and just before the break the best scorer of the Italian club Josip Ilicic shot powerfully into the far corner of the goal.
Atalanta did not stop there. In the second half, Swiss Remo Flohler brought the score to a smashing. In the 62nd minute Hatebur made a double, and the scoreboard lit up 4 : 0.
The Spaniards did not go without a goal either. Denis Cheryshev, who came on as a substitute, managed to score a prestigious goal.
The game day of the 1/8 finals continued with the match between Tottenham and RB Leipzig. The meeting ended with a minimal victory of the German team - 1 : 0.
After active pressing by one of RB Leipzig's players, Spurs defender Ben Davies fouls in the penalty area. The referee awarded a penalty. Timo Werner came to the spot. The German striker scored the only goal of the match with an accurate shot.
The next matches of the 1/8 Champions League will be held on February 25-26.
