As part of a trip to Bangkok, the Turkmen delegation took part in the congress of the Asian Boxing Confederation and expressed interest in international competitions. This is reported by the online edition of "Türkmenistan Habarlar Portaly".
During the meeting, the parties discussed the results of the organization's work, preparations for the 2024 Olympic Games, as well as the development of sports in the Central Asian region. According to the Decree signed by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in April last year, an organizing committee was established to prepare the national team for the 33rd Summer Olympics and the 17th Summer Paralympic Games in Paris. In addition, in March of this year, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to engage in scientifically-based preparation for the tournaments.
