Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Kazakhstan will establish a joint logistics center

Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan have agreed to establish a joint logistics center in Turgundi on the Afghan-Turkmen border. This was reported by the Türkmenistan habarlar portaly online edition.

The trilateral meeting was attended by the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan M. Chakyev, Minister of Trade and Industry of Afghanistan N. Azizi and Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan S. Zhumangarin. Zhumangarin.

The sides reached an agreement on expanding trade and transit agreements between the countries. The possibilities of applying preferential tariffs for the export of Afghan marble, limestone and other minerals were considered. The meeting touched upon topical issues of establishing gas and oil supplies from Turkmenistan and Afghanistan.

Attention was paid to the topics of developing Afghanistan's rail infrastructure, quarantining Afghan export and transit cargo, reducing transportation and transit costs, and strengthening banking ties to facilitate mutual payments.
