Turkmenistan and Japan discuss trade and economic cooperation

On June 28, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with Chairman of the Japan-Turkmen Committee on Economic Cooperation Kh. Tsubai and K. Sanada, Executive Director, General Manager of the Plant Engineering Business Unit of Kawasaki Heavy Ind., Ltd. This is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The parties discussed the current state of cooperation between the countries. Inter-parliamentary ties are developing especially dynamically between the states, which are an important part of political relations.

It was noted that Turkmenistan and Japan have achieved a strategic and sustainable partnership in the trade and economic sphere. The interlocutors also emphasized that the Turkmen-Japanese and Japan-Turkmen Economic Cooperation Committees play a great role in establishing long-term trade ties between the states.
