Turkmenistan and Russia discuss economic cooperation in Ashgabat

The thirteenth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian Commission on Economic Cooperation was held in Ashgabat, marking a new stage in the development of bilateral relations. The event, held on October 13, 2025 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, demonstrated the mutual interest of the parties in strengthening the strategic partnership. The negotiation process was headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyev from the Turkmen side and Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin from the Russian side. During the meeting, special attention was paid to practical aspects of economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

A landmark result of the meeting was the signing of a number of bilateral documents, the key of which is the Protocol of the 13th meeting.
