Turkmenistan and Sweden held political consultations

Inter-Ministerial political consultations with the participation of Turkmen and Swedish delegations were held in Stockholm on September 3. This was reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."

The Turkmen delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Myahri Byashimova, while the Swedish delegation was headed by Tobias Tyberg, Head of the Department of Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Swedish Foreign Ministry.

In the course of the meeting, the sides considered opportunities for the development of bilateral cooperation, as well as topical issues of the global and regional agenda in the field of security, ecology, transportation and energy.

The sides emphasized the importance of interaction between the countries within the framework of the EU Global Gateway initiative. Later, the Turkmen delegation met with the Head of the Swedish Delegation to the OSCE PA Björn Söder on the issues of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
