Turkmenistan Prepares to Celebrate World Bicycle Day

Turkmenistan is preparing to celebrate World Bike Day (June 3), which was proclaimed at the initiative of the president of Turkmenistan at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly in 2018.

In honor of the holiday, the monument "Bicycle" built in Ashgabat at the intersection of Bekravinsky and Chandybil highway will be opened. The design and construction of the monument, as of March 2019, was undertaken by the FE "Sport ýyldyzy". Mass cultural and sporting events are also planned throughout the country.
