The ITF Level 2 seminar was completed in Turkmenistan

Ashgabat for the first time became a venue for the ITF Level 2 Regional Coaching Seminar

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) Level 2 regional coaching seminar aimed at training specialists to work with high-class players has been completed in the Tennis Complex of the Olympic City of Ashgabat. Arzuw.news reports with reference to Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

The seminar was attended by 15 coaches from five countries: 11 specialists from Turkmenistan and four representatives from Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan. The course lecturers were ITF experts Seyedamir Borghaei from Iran and Igor Shelyakin from Uzbekistan.

Over 12 days, participants completed an intensive training program, including 37 online courses on the ITF platform and five exams in various areas: game practice, conducting lessons, testing and writing essays. Successful certified coaches will receive an international Level 2 certificate, which gives them the right to represent players at major world tournaments.

It is worth noting that on June 1, 2024, the Turkmen Tennis Complex received the status of "Training Center of the Asian region". The certificate was presented by ITF representative Seyedamir Borghei.

Chairman of the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan Eziz Dovletov emphasized the importance of three key elements for success in tennis: court, coach and competition. He also noted that the educational system of the national federation is licensed by the ITF, which allows to independently conduct "Play tennis" courses.

The next "Play tennis" seminar for entry level coaches is scheduled for August 28-31, 2025. The lecturers will be Mirali Hasanov (Level 2) and Alexander Shleikin (Level 1).
