On January 23, Turkmenistan took part in a high-level briefing of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office on projects and programs in Central Asia. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The event was attended by Mr. V. Voronkov, Deputy Secretary General, Head of UN CTC, Mr. N. German, Executive Director of the UN CTC Executive Directorate, Mr. K. Imnadze, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, Head of UNRCCA, Permanent Representatives of Central Asia and other states.
Turkmen Ambassador A. Ataeva noted Turkmenistan's commitment to the comprehensive implementation of the five-year National Strategy and Action Plan on Preventing Violent Extremism and Countering Terrorism adopted in 2020 with the support of the UN CTU.
