Berdimuhamedov meets with Chinese Vice Premier

Meeting of the President of Turkmenistan with the First Deputy Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with First Deputy Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Ding Xuexiang during his working visit to China. This is reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The Chinese Vice Premier thanked the Turkmen leader for attending the SCO Summit and emphasized the significance of his meeting with President Xi Jinping. Ding Xuexiang congratulated President Berdymukhamedov and the Turkmen people on the 30th anniversary of the country's neutrality.

In turn, the Turkmen leader congratulated the Chinese side on the success of the SCO Summit and the 80th anniversary of the Victory Day.

The sides reaffirmed the strategic nature of Turkmen-Chinese relations with effective interaction at the state, government and ministerial levels. They paid special attention to energy cooperation - the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline successfully operating since 2009 and the activities of the China National Oil and Gas Corporation.

President Berdimuhamedov offered Chinese partners to create a trans-Caspian logistics route and a sustainable Turkmenistan-China transport and logistics link through Central Asia. Turkmenistan is ready to increase exports of textiles, chemical industry products, agro-industrial complex and oil products to China.

The participants of the meeting discussed the expansion of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including the education of Turkmen students in Chinese universities and the teaching of Chinese language in Turkmenistan. It was also proposed to develop cooperation in the field of high technology and artificial intelligence using the capabilities of the International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
