Turkmenistan participated in a forum organized by WTO and ADB

A three-day Central Asian Trade Policy Forum organized by the World Trade Organization and the Asian Development Bank was held in Almaty on June 3 with the participation of Turkmen representatives. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The theme of the second forum was "Economic integration through accession and membership in the WTO". Delegations from Central Asian countries participated in the forum. During the thematic sessions of the event, the participants considered the topical issues of accession to the WTO and also discussed the interconnectedness of trade with the environment.

WTO Director General during the keynote speech noted the great potential of the region in improving global and regional economic integration. The progress of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan on accession to the WTO was noted.
