Turkmenistan participated in the Sustainable Energy Week in Geneva

On September 18-19, the Turkmen delegation took part in the events of the UN Economic Commission for Europe Sustainable Energy Week in Geneva. It reports Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

During the session "Identifying Opportunities for a Just Transition in the UNECE Region" on 18 September, Serdar Saparov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan, made a presentation. On September 19, Ambassador Vepa Hajiyev presented the main directions of economic policy and tasks of Turkmenistan as SPECA Chair in 2025.

The development of sustainable energy, rational use of natural resources, introduction of innovations and promotion of renewable energy were identified as the basis of Turkmenistan's economic strategy. In the ensuing discussion, ways of energy cooperation were considered.
