From January 13 to 16 this year, representatives of Turkmenistan Airlines met with employees of a number of Japanese institutions for talks on strengthening cooperation in the field of air communication. This is reported by the Internet publication CentralAsia.news.
A special emphasis in the talks was placed on the organization of direct air service between Turkmenistan and Japan. Representatives of the Turkmen airline company also drew the attention of the interlocutors to the prospects of establishing air service between Ashgabat and Tokyo to ensure cargo transportation.
The establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Japan took place in 1992. Since then, the states have strengthened mutually beneficial partnership in the spheres of transportation, energy, chemical industry and extraction of fossil natural resources.
