Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov discussed aviation safety issues of civil aviation with Director General of the Agency of Transport and Communications M. Chakyev at Friday's meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. This is reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The information presented at the meeting shows that the country is systematically working to modernize the industry in accordance with ICAO international standards. A draft decree on the creation of an interdepartmental commission to coordinate the actions of government agencies in the field of flight safety has already been developed.
The President approved the initiative by signing the document. Now practical steps to implement the plans are on the agenda. The aviation industry of independent Turkmenistan, undoubtedly, needs constant improvement. The introduction of advanced technologies along with highly qualified personnel guarantees its confident ascent to new heights. Flight safety is a basic condition for achieving the set goals.
