Turkmen judoka wins first Asian Games medal

Turkmen judoka Maisa Pardayeva has won the first medal for the Turkmen national team at the Asian Games. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The Turkmen athlete was awarded the bronze medal in the weight category up to 57 kg. In this weight category, 16 athletes from different countries fought for medals with the 1st year student of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports. Maisa fought with athletes from Nepal, Portugal, Uzbekistan and China for the bronze medal of the Asian Games. The second bronze medal went to an athlete from the Republic of Korea, a judoka from Japan won the silver medal, and the gold medalist was a representative of Taiwan.

It should be noted that Maisa Pardaeva was the flag bearer of the Turkmen national team during the opening ceremony of the Asian Games.
